The next thing will be to learn about what God has done for you in Christ. What salvation really means and what you get to gain getting into this relationship with the father God.
A good place to begin will be in the book of Ephesians
Ephesians 1:3-6 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
To bless will mean to ‘speak well of’ to invoke a benediction upon one.
vs 3 says We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Meaning spiritually we lack nothing and have been given all that we require.
He goes on to explain what these spiritual blessing are over the next few verses
Vs4 We have been chosen to be holy and blameless before God in Love
Vs5 We have been adopted in Christ according to the good pleasure of God’s will
Vs6 We have been accepted or favoured in the beloved
Vs7 We are redeemed we have redemption through his blood, forgiveness of sins,
simply looking into these facts in more details will help a believer new or old to be more grounded in the things of God.
For instance learning that your sins are forgiven past present and future sends a whole new message to your mind setting you up for exploits knowing you have not only been forgiven but have been empowered to live holy.
