It may sound like a cliche if you’ve been around church folks before, but this is the only way to grow in the Christian faith.
It is tested and trusted.
Being able to read your bible and pray daily is the fastest track to spiritual growth. The devotion that comes with reading the Bible and praying to God daily is the bedrock or any successful Christian journey.
How we are bolder, stronger and eager to do the things of God is by giving ourselves to reading the Bible and praying everyday.
Joshua 1:8 (AMP) “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.
How a person will be successful in the assignment God has given to him will be to read the word and meditate on it day and night. To read it daily and meditate on it daily.
Joshua was given that instruction and it is an instruction to live by. Read and meditate on the word daily that is how growth comes,
1 Timothy 4:13 (KJV) Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
Paul tells Timothy to give attendance to reading the word. You too must read the word it is important.
Praying is also important. Prayer is how we communicate with God, speaking to the father daily is very important. And the Bible admonishes us to pray daily
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NASB20) pray without ceasing,
The instruction is to pray always, have an attitude of prayer, pray non stop, at least if a person will not take any other inference from this bible verse it will be to pray daily at the least.
Luke 18:1 (NASB20) 1 Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not become discouraged, Men ought always to pray and not to faint.
Ephesians 6:18 (NASB20) 18 With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints,
We pray always with every prayer and request in the Spirit.
There’s a plethora of bible verses that teach on prayer and it is important for us to pray daily and read our bile regularly.
